What is identity?

Let’s all ponder at this question. It’s not a name, that’s for sure. If one’s identity were simply one’s name, then all the world’s individuality would be forfeit.

I am known on the internet as arashi. Does that name define me? I don’t think so. But does this name signify something that others have come to recognize? There is some truth in that.

On the internet, I am the owner and maintainer of a number of anime and manga related domains. Japanese pop culture is somewhat of a passion and interest of mine, and has been since 2002. I have devoted the last few years to making numerous sites in that capacity.

Apart from the internet, I am a live person (some might find that hard to believe), living an ordinary life. With over 20 years of having lived life, experience many experiences, felt many emotions and otherwise taken in the external world in a variety of capacities, I now have the need to express my inner cogitations to the external world.

This is Reflections, the alter ego of me.
